Whistler Pocket Chocolate is now offered in a 100% GREEN packaging. Our inner wrap is made of wood fiber and can be composted in your local or community composter. Our boxes are made out of post consumer waste and are 100% recycable. We think we are the first in Canada to offer this type of packacing. Check it out!

NEW STORES: North Vancouver Whole Food and Edible BC. You can also order online https://store.edible-britishcolumbia.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=5&sort=2a&page=3&osCsid=ma9tln9tm7kilbc1gjckmej9l2

I agree. Ecological is not organic, organic is not fair trade, fair trade is not organic, organic is not ecological. It all belongs to sustainable development.

It is important not to be confused and abused by marketing tools.

I actually found the first FAIR TRADE CERTIFIED Vodka produced by some french people. It is called FAIR. I tasted it in Paris last week. It is a partnership between a coop in South America and distillers in France. It tastes amazing as they use a rare new cereal from the altiplano which I have not remembered the name. The fact is they retribute fairly the farmers out there.

Another excellent ORGANIC CERTIFIED Vodka made from swedish organic certified wheat is GREEN. The website is www.puregreenvodka.com and it is quite tasty as well but you can't find it out of Sweden.

Totally agree with the previous posters.
I went there a few times, each time thinking up an excuse to give them one more chance.
I even emailed the owner Hello AT Babyeats.com
never replied or offered an explanation. The facility was dirty; bits of food everywhere, toys scattered all around. The food, don't get me started, microwaved. Hard as a rock. The washrooms were dirty with bits of paper towel scattered all over the floor. Felt humiliated bringing my mommy friends there. Babyeats lost another customer!!!!

Gordon and family--
I'm glad you're enjoying the Capers cum "everything organic" blog. Some of the muffin recipes are in fact in that long-ago-published recipe book (To Love & Feed People: wholefoods baking and natural desserts by JoAnn Issenman). WholeFoods (the US conglomerate that bought out Capers) probably now owns rights to any re-publish of the book, but it's unlikely WholeFoods would ever celebrate Capers. WF has its own brand. (At the end of April shut down yet another Capers Market on Cambie Street).

A few of us have searched successfully online for used copies of the recipe book (those are still available). I bought mine from Amazon Books. Just Google "used bookstores." You're sure to find a copy. It's a charming--innocence before multinationals in the food industry--book, with drawings as well as recipes. Worth a search for sure. Good luck.
